Nemak Slovakia trains future experts in industry 4.0

On the initiative of Nemak Slovakia, the program has been successfully launched at the Secondary Technical School in Žiar nad Hronom. Participants are learning how to use state-of-the-art simulation technology to set up and manage production processes. "During the building of our new plant, we used plant simulation extensively to optimize our processes," explains Rastislav Gall, Plant Manager of Nemak Slovakia. "We cooperate with the Secondary Technical School to introduce young people to this simulation program and at the same time to our company."

The competition for skilled workers in Slovakia is very high and the cooperation is a good opportunity to identify talents early on and to win them for Nemak. At the same time, the Secondary Technical School benefits from the cooperation. "Nemak Slovakia helps us to qualify our students for the job market in terms of Industry 4.0," says the school's head, Beata Tóthová. The eleven students in the program have recently visited the Nemak plant to see first-hand how the system works, how it is used and how it helps to optimize processes in production.
